Packaging
There is no shortage of options for containing your care package, with many sizes of boxes, baskets, and other types of containers. If you follow my care package blog posts, you’ll notice I almost always us the same box. I love this box for a few reasons:
- Size – big enough to put several items in, but small enough to affordably fill it up.
- Style of opening – I like how the flap opens at the top and the nice space on the top flap, perfect for decorating
- Color – The white box color gives it an elevated look.

These boxes are 10″ x 7″ x 4″. As you pick your boxes, think through all three dimensions. It was important to me to have at least 3.5″ in height so that I wouldn’t be too limited on what would fit into the box.
Fill the care package
It is no fun to have a wisdom tooth removed and there is often mouth pain after the surgery. The patient should get specific recovery instructions from their doctor/surgeon, which typically includes restrictions and recommendations. For example, they will most likely be told to eat soft foods, avoid carbonated drinks, and not to use a straw. Having the right items on hand after the surgery can bring a smile to their face.
